Our Engineers translate architectural and structural design plans into tangible layouts on a construction site, ensuring that the precast concrete elements are placed accurately and within specified tolerances. They use survey equipment, like total stations, to establish control points, set reference points, and verify the correct level and alignment of precast units. This role is crucial for the success of precast projects, ensuring that the structural elements are placed correctly and that the overall building is built according to design specifications.
Convert complex construction plans, Building Information Models (BIM), and design drawings into site layouts.
Use modern survey equipment to work from established reference points and mark out structural features on the ground.
Ensure accuracy in placement of precast elements, adhering to design tolerances. Such as BS5606 & BS8297
Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to address any challenges during construction.
Ensures compliance with the QA procedures laid out by our customers
Assist in resolving any issues related to construction plans, build issues and site layout.
Keep accurate records of setting out processes and any adjustments made on site. Populate and supply for Lay and Line documentation aswell as CAD As-builts
Clearly communicates setting out information to the site team.
